By Your Grace/Jai Gurudev- Tribute to the Honey Locust Sangha

Sangha member, Mike McGann created this video tribute to our sangha using the song, "By Your Grace/Jai Gurudev" by Krishna Das

Mystery- From the Paul Winter Consort's "Earth Mass", a lovely reflection on the emptiness/fullness of God.
"Oh Mystery, you are alive.  I feel you all around.
You are the fire, in my heart.  You are the holy sound.
You are all of life.  It is to you that I sing.
Grant that I may feel you, always in everything."

Understanding Our Mind- exerpts from the Thich Nhat Hanh Book
w/ Music by Thomas Newman

"Every day, our thoughts, words and deeds plant seeds in the field of our consciousness. And what these seeds generate, becomes the substance of our lives."

The Eyes of Our Maker- Mike McMahon and Conspirators
"Each day, my Lord
Let me stop 100 times and breathe deep- the Holy Spirit."

During the Plum Village youth retreat 2010 Zen master Thich Nhat Hanh gave a
question and answer session.  Question: "Who am I?"

Thich Nhat Hanh on Interbeing
"When you see yourself as separate, you compare yourself to others, you struggle with the superiority complex, the inferiority complex, the equality complex (I must try to be as good as her). But if you know that you ARE him, You ARE her, and she IS you, there is absolute peace."

Ram Dass Interviews Thich Nhat Hanh
On holding anger with the energy of mindfulness,  and bringing mindfulness into social and political action.

Pebble Meditation- TNH
"Breathing in, I have the nature of a flower,
Breathing out, I feel fresh.
Breathing in, I have the nature of a mountain,
Breathing out, I feel solid,
Breathing in, I have the nature of water,
Breathing out, I reflect all that is real and true,
Breathing in, I have the nature of space,
Breathing out, I am free."

The End of Suffering- Beautiful TNH video with Chanting and Music
"Perfect oneness of body speech and thought.
I send my heart along with the sound of this bell.
May the hearer be awakened from forgetfullness,
and transcend all anxiety and sorrow."

Blessings Song from OI Blue Cliff Retreat
by Mike McMahon and Conspirators
"All of your hours, all of your days.
turn into flowers and bloom on your way.
Together we walk this road without end,
so tend to your heart my friend,"

This I Know- Mike McMahon and Conspirators
"When we are able to see all people, places and things,
as they are, with a heart and mind of love,
we will glimpse the kingdom of God."

Thich Nhat Hanh- Awakening the heart of compassion
Thich Nhat Hanh gives a short talk about the bodhisattva Avolkiteshvara followed by a beautiful and contemplative chanting by the monks and nuns of Plum Village.  This is a soothing meditation tool in time of suffering.

"Avalokiteshvara is a person who has the capacity of listening to his own suffering. Because of that practice, he could understand the nature, the roots of the suffering inside of him. And from the understanding, compassion arose and he recieved healing and transformation. After that he was able to look at the people around him and recognize the suffering in everyone. He was able to understand the suffering in each person. He practiced listening to the suffering of these people and helped them to suffer less."

TNH on how meditation works; the notion of an eternal soul
