- Retreat Review: A general question was offered as to the effectiveness of the retreat. Comments on the refreshing and nourishing teachings of both Sister Terry and darma teacher Brian (BK) were offered. A further suggestion that we invite one or both to our next retreat was made. Jim was assigned to create a short questionnaire as to how attendees liked the retreat. Jim has requested help as to the questions to be asked. It was noted that some individuals did not attend the retreat due to masking and vaccination requirements. The question was asked if we needed to review our masking policy. One suggestion was to align our policy to the county covid risk assessment, but that discussion was tabled until a larger group could be gathered.
- Treasurer’s Report was tabled as Randy is on vacation. It was noted that we did not break even on the retreat.
- There was extensive discussion around the idea that our current Monday night meetings are not as effective as we would like them to be. It was suggested that the hybrid Monday night is falling short in creating a sense of fellowship, unity and meditative serenity. Purely in discussion, many ideas were offered. It was felt we didn’t have enough of our CTC membership present to make any firm changes. We voted to continue as we are with a simple hybrid in person/zoom Monday night meeting till we can meet as a larger group to look at improvements to our present format.
- Setting Time limits for CTC meetings: It was voted that the CTC limit its meeting to no more than two hours. Issues still unresolved would be tabled until the following meeting.
- A CTC meeting on the need to develop love and understand was set for Saturday, July 2nd, 1200, at Mike and Priya’s home. (It will be another brown bag lunch)
- Discussion on financial reserves and dana was tabled
